Radiology Tech/MA - Lookout Mtn Practice - Full-Time
Erlanger is a healthcare provider seeking a Radiology Tech/MA to perform a variety of diagnostic radiographic exams under the supervision of the Practice Manager and/or physician. The role involves direct and indirect patient care, including escorting patients, taking vital signs, and performing X-Rays, while also supporting patients in self-management and behavior change.

Responsibilities
Responsible for direct and/or indirect patient care
Primary duties include but are not limited to escorting patients to exam rooms, taking vital signs, preparation for evaluations and/or procedures as directed by physician or PA/NP, collections of laboratory tests, processing of waived or non-waived laboratory tests, performing X-Ray
Responsible for ensuring medical supplies are inventoried weekly
Perform calibrations on all testing equipment
Responsible for performing patient testing and injections as directed by physician or PA
Knowledge of pharmacology and able to administer medications as appropriate
Referral duties: Responsible for calling physician offices to set referral appointment, contacting patient with appointment time and date
Entry of all referral information in tracking database
Assist patients with billing issues/concerns
Knowledge of medical terminology and coding processes
Assist office manager with the coordination of onsite medical services
Work closely with other employees to ensure customer focus
Assist with general office duties
Supports other practice operations as assigned by the Physician or Practice Manager
Qualification
Required
A graduate of an approved JRCERT radiologic program (The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology)
Hospital Clinical Experience Required
Basic computer experience (1-2 years' work experience or college level classes)
ARRT certified (compliant with all continuing education mandates)
ARRT registry eligible (must complete within one year)
Radiological student from an approved Radiology program that has completed all academic courses (must be registry eligible within three months and complete registry within one year)
BLS required within 30 days of hire
Preferred
Prior physician office background performing medical assistant responsibilities
