Training Coordinator

The City of New York Department of Investigation (DOI) is seeking a highly motivated Training Coordinator to join their Training Division. This role involves planning, coordinating, and delivering training programs for DOI staff while managing logistics and supporting curriculum development.

Responsibilities

Manage scheduling, communication, materials, and space for training sessions across the agency
Review training materials and communications for clarity, accuracy, and professionalism
Assist with the design, implementation, and tracking of training programs and initiatives
Collaborate on content creation and may occasionally facilitate internal training sessions
Maintain records, troubleshoot user issues, and support data reporting
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to support training efforts
Travel as needed throughout the Tri-State Area to support regional training sessions
Provide general administrative assistance to ensure smooth training operations

Required

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization and four years of satisfactory full-time experience in an industrial or governmental agency in the field of investigation, auditing, law enforcement, security, inspections, or in a major operational area of the agency in which the appointment is to be made
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
Education and/or experience equivalent to '1' or '2' above

Preferred

Strong public speaking skills and the ability to self-motivate, stay proactive, and manage multiple tasks independently. Multilingual is a plus
Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint experience with other Microsoft Office applications and Adobe is a plus
Ability to proofread, edit, and ensure accuracy in all materials. The candidate should be highly organized and task-oriented
