Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic ultrasound studies, demonstrating expertise in carrying out Level 1 ultrasounds including growth and doppler scans
Assess the findings in the ultrasound examinations and assist the MFM physicians in interpreting the ultrasound studies
Maintain associated records for ultrasound studies and coordinate quality assurance activities including cleaning and maintenance of equipment
Flex between offsite locations as needed by department with a minimum of one weeks advanced notice to cover vacations and leave of absence
Be asked on occasion to flex to other offsite to cover if someone has called out sick

ARDMS certificationOBGYN certificationLevel 2 ultrasoundDoppler scansUltrasound equipmentEnglish proficiency

Required

Completion of a one or two year program or certified training course, followed by certification examination
Registry with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and certification in OBGYN, is required
Must be competent in scanning pregnant women in the first, second, and third trimester, including targeted anatomic survey
Must be proficient in the English language

Preferred

Competency in Level 2 obstetrical ultrasound procedures and NT is preferred
If hired without Level 2 experience or NT certification, it is the expectation that the new hire will demonstrate competency in Level 2 scans and certification after six months of training within the department
