Envision Radiology is seeking a Part-Time Mammography Technologist to join their team in Sunnyvale. The role involves performing routine and diagnostic exams related to breast anatomy and bone density, while ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care throughout the examination process.

Responsibilities

Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image. Also provides patient education on breast self-examination as needed

Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc

Obtains prior imaging as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation

Performs Bone Density and Mammography exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time

Transfers images to other locations as needed

Coordinates procedure protocols with Radiologist

Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies

Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns
