Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters is seeking a Radiological Technologist to perform radiologic procedures and examinations under the direction of radiologists. The role involves providing imaging services, maintaining knowledge of radiation protection standards, and ensuring quality patient care during diagnostic procedures.

Responsibilities

Provides services using imaging modalities including but not limited to conventional x-ray, Computed Radiography (CR), Digital Radiography (DR), Fluoroscopy, Bone Density, and Urodynamics

Maintains and applies knowledge of radiation protection standards; knowledge of the function of the major divisions of the skeletal system and major organs; and knowledge of the physical concept of energy and the property of X-rays and electric circuits to perform diagnostic procedures and to assist as a member of a medical team in radiologic examinations

Provides services within and inpatient, Operating Room (OR), Emergency Department (ED), and outpatient setting

Evaluates radiographs for technical quality

Performs, assists, and accountable for various clinical laboratory procedures including but not limited to specimen collection, processing, storage, handling, and transporting of specimens

Exercises professional judgment in the performance of radiographic procedures

Provides patient care essential to radiographic procedures

Recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action

Supports successful onboarding, orientations, training of new Radiology modality team members

Performs all other duties as assigned

Required

Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required at the time of hire

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training required at time of hire or must be obtained within 45 days of hire

High school diploma or equivalent required at the time of hire

At time of hire, a record of completion for all education, licenses, training and/or certifications is required

Continuous certification and/or maintenance of state licensures, certifications, training, educational and application requirements is required during employment

Knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures as well as operation and maintenance of radiologic equipment

Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and empathetic team player who takes initiative

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Excellent time management skills, able to shift priorities and able to work independently and problem solve in a fast paced, fluid environment

Possesses strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills as well as, the ability interact with and build collegial relationships with diverse individuals

Analytical skills necessary to determine best method of providing requested radiographs based on the individual
