Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and submit government contract invoices (cost-reimbursable) in compliance with FAR, CAS and contract terms
Ensure timely and accurate billing, addressing discrepancies with program managers, the finance and contracts team, and customers
Monitor unbilled receivables and drive resolution of billing issues to improve cash flow
Develop and maintain financial forecasts at contract and organization level
Partner with program managers to track actuals vs budget, explain variances, and update forecasts
Support annual operating and indirect budget preparations including labor and G&A allocations
Assist in preparing annual incurred cost submissions (ICS) ensuring accuracy and compliance
Assist in unallowable cost scrubbing and sampling
Maintain audit-ready documentation and help respond to audit requests
Monitor indirect rates and recommend adjustments to ensure compliance with FAR and CAS
Provide financial analysis and reporting for active contracts, including funding status, backlog, and estimate at completion
Track project performance metrics including burn rates, funding ceilings, and variances
Develop and automate financial reports to increase efficiency and accuracy
Identify opportunities to improve invoicing, forecasting, and budgeting processes

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in government contracting finance or accounting, including familiarity with government regulations and compliance requirements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications

Indirect rate experience
An understanding of the FAR and CAS
SAP Experience
