Internship Program Assistant

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is seeking an Internship Program Assistant for its Sentry School of Business and Economics. This role provides operational and administrative support for the internship program, including managing student authorization workflows, supporting employer communication, and organizing the Internship Expo.

Responsibilities

Assist students in the internship credit authorization process, including tracking submissions and communicating deadlines
Maintain program databases and records accurately and confidentially
Respond to student and employer inquiries related to internship opportunities
Help plan and execute the Internship Expo, held three times a year
Communicate with employers and departments to organize logistics and registration
Promote the event through email outreach and on-campus marketing
Attend weekly check-in meetings with the Director of Internships
Maintain a consistent work schedule, with flexibility around academic demands
Track and report tasks and hours; complete personnel documentation as required

Required

Must be enrolled in at least 12 undergraduate credits during the semester
Must be in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA
Must be able to work approximately 6–10 hours per week between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Comfort with email platforms, spreadsheets, and online forms
Professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities
