Perform laboratory tests and procedures on blood and blood products as prescribed by physicians
Perform crossmatches
Process and test blood products
Manage inventory and replace blood products from suppliers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree is required
Graduation from an approved Clinical Laboratory Scientist program or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
Skills necessary to perform procedures in the Laboratory Procedures manual include specimen processing, test performance, and reporting of test results
Ability to distinguish color differences
Ability to troubleshoot instrument problems
Preferred
Previous Clinical Laboratory Scientist experience is preferred
Previous laboratory computer system experience preferred
MT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred
