InternThe Pennsylvania State University is seeking undergraduate students for research positions in the Tsotakos Lab at Penn State Harrisburg. The research focuses on the social and genetic determinants of chronic kidney disease progression, involving analysis of genomic and EHR data, along with general lab maintenance and various biochemistry and molecular biology experiments.

General lab maintenance
Preparation of materials for experiments
Maintenance of mammalian cell culture
Implementation of routine Biochemistry and Molecular Biology experiments, such as Western blotting, molecular cloning, and qPCR
Data analysis
Qualification
Required
Typically require successful completion of BIOL 230W, Molecules and Cells
Competency in Bioinformatics skills, including GWAS analysis and working knowledge of Python and/or R
Attention to detail and detailed recordkeeping are highly valued
Preferred
Preferred qualifications include BIOL 322, Genetic Analysis, or other related 400-level classes
