Financial Capabilities Intern (unpaid)
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a humanitarian organization that responds to global crises. They are seeking a Financial Capabilities Intern to support their program aimed at increasing financial literacy among participants, providing coaching, and coordinating educational workshops.

Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one financial coaching for clients
Conduct budgets and financial surveys with clients
Track client notes and progress in a spreadsheet and on ETO software
Communicate effectively in person and by phone
Facilitate monthly literacy workshops for clients
Accompany clients to bank appointments
Adhere to IRC policies, particularly those related to confidentiality and client privacy
Other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Volunteers must be based in the U.S
Interns must be based in US, must be a US citizen or have US work authorization
must be enrolled in post-secondary institution or have graduated from a post-secondary institution within last 2 years
Available for a minimum of 15 hours per week
High school degree required
Basic proficiency in digital literacy
Preferred
The ideal candidates will have prior experience in the field of personal financial management, preferably in a counseling or coaching role
Ability to speak Spanish or Arabic highly preferred
Ability to speak Dari/Pashto, Haitian Creole and/or French also preferred
