Workforce Job Development intern (unpaid)
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a leading humanitarian organization that responds to crises around the world. They are seeking a Workforce Job Development intern to support the Economic Empowerment department by finding job opportunities for clients, managing employer relationships, and conducting research to build partnerships.

Responsibilities
Research prospective employer partners and track outreach efforts
Provide assistance in organizing workshops, such as mock job interview events
Assist clients with job applications as needed and liaise with employers
Collaborate with other IRC in NY programs as necessary
Attend job fairs and community events and represent IRC if needed
Adhere to IRC policies, particularly those related to confidentiality and client privacy
Qualification
Required
Interns must be based in US
must be a US citizen or have US work authorization
must be enrolled in post-secondary institution or have graduated from a post-secondary institution within the last two years
must pass a background check
Experience working with immigrants or refugees in a social service setting
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Teams, email)
Adhere to professional standards of confidentiality and boundary setting
Preferred
Graphic design skills a plus
Fluency in a language other than English a plus
