Intern, Practice Management
Mariner is a financial services company focused on positively impacting lives through comprehensive wealth management solutions. They are seeking a Practice Management Intern to assist in developing training content, conducting research, and supporting advisor enablement efforts within their Financial Advising division.

Responsibilities
Assist with preparing presentations, job aids, and training materials for advisor education programs
Attend meetings and trainings to learn about advisor tools, planning practices, and consulting strategies
Support team projects involving advisor coaching, mentoring programs, and internal resource development
Help organize and update resources for advisors, including templates, reference materials, and onboarding content
Provide basic research on planning topics (e.g., estate planning, tax, Medicare) and share findings with the team
Observe subject matter experts and participate in discussions on advanced planning areas
Help with presentation preparation and inbox support by reviewing and categorizing incoming advisor questions
Assist in evaluating planning technology tools (e.g., eMoney, Holistiplan, Vanilla) and identifying opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with marketing to review and refine content for advisors
Complete a capstone project such as creating a client case study or presenting a proposed training solution
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree with an expected graduation date within 12 months of the start of the internship (May 2026)
Demonstrated leadership experience through work or extracurricular activities
Strong organizational and time management skills
Detail-oriented with solid research and writing abilities
Comfortable learning new technologies and platforms
Effective communicator - able to simplify and explain complex ideas
Curious and eager to learn; takes initiative in asking questions and contributing
Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, changing environment
Collaborative and professional in working with multiple teams
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship needs
Preferred
Majoring in Financial Planning
Familiarity with the Wealth Management industry
Willingness to learn internal systems and digital tools used by advisors. Exposure to financial planning tools (e.g. eMoney, Holistiplan) is a plus
