Responsibilities
Assist the surgical team by maintaining a sterile operating room
Set up the operating room for surgical procedures
Monitor and control the environment, adhering to Universal Precautions
Prepare patients for surgery, including washing, shaving, and disinfecting incision sites, transporting patients, positioning patients on the table, and covering patients with sterile surgical drapes
Anticipate the needs of the surgeon by passing appropriate instruments, providing sterile items, holding retractors, and cutting
Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with company policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
Graduate of a Surgical Technologist program required
Knowledge of surgical instruments and operating procedures
Strong attention to detail
Must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multitask
Excellent communication skills
Preferred
1-2 years of experience preferred
Orthopaedic skills are a plus
