Responsibilities

Accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions
Administer contrast material
Prepare and operate CT scan equipment
Ability to position patient to capture appropriate images
Send images to Radiologist for interpretation/reading
Cleans and disinfects patient rooms
Follow infection control and safety guidelines

Qualification

CT certification (ARRT-CT)Radiology certification (ARRT-R)California Radiologic Technologist (CRT)Basic Life Support (BLS)Venipuncture certificationExperience in hospital settingTrauma patientsStroke patientsAdvanced exams

Required

Graduate of a JRCERT accredited School of Radiologic Technology program required
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiology certification (ARRT-R) required
California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
Venipuncture certification required
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Scan Technologist required
Experience in a hospital setting required, including Emergency Department and inpatient cases
Experience with Trauma and Stroke patients required
Experience with advanced exams, including Angio of abdomen or head and neck, required

Preferred

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT certification (ARRT-CT) preferred or willing to obtain within 1 year from start date
