Manager, Advanced Analytics- Marketplace Payments
Walmart Canada is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Manager to join the Marketplace Partner Payments team. This role involves driving critical initiatives across Payments, Financial Risk Management, Seller Services, and Financial Operations for Walmart Marketplace sellers, focusing on scaling payment systems and mitigating financial risk through data-driven insights.

Responsibilities
Analyze and monitor payment and Marketplace data to identify emerging patterns, anomalies, and proactively address potential financial risks
Develop and implement strategies and robust controls to minimize payments losses and secure funds for future needs (returns, chargebacks, seller services, etc.) as needed. Partner closely with Performance, Seller Risk, Data Science, and Operations teams to ensure a secure payment ecosystem
Collaborate with Product & Tech teams to build foundational payment tools and controls. Drive improvements in operational efficiency, ecosystem capabilities and scalability, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Expand and streamline payment processes to achieve greater scalability and efficiency. Optimize manual reviews and interventions in cash flow for trusted sellers, while maintaining a secure experience across diverse segments and channels
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to track payment performance, financial exposure, and seller health. Deliver actionable insights to leadership and cross-functional partners on payments trends
Collaborate with different Marketplace Business, Product, and Risk teams to implement tailored payment strategies for different seller programs and segments
Develop and refine data-driven collection strategies to effectively recover financial losses
Qualification
Required
Master's in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar field required
At least 3 years industry experience, preferably in Payments, eCommerce, Risk, Financial Services, or similar space
Advanced understanding of SQL and working with large datasets
Understanding of and proven track record in risk management, credit (preferably commercial), chargeback mitigation, or fraud prevention in payments is an advantage
Ability to lead cross functional teams and prior experience working with Product and Technology teams; proven ability to influence internal / external partners and provide clear actionable insights
Experience with one or more data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker etc
Deep analytical abilities, both quantitative and qualitative, and a track record of applying these to inform effective and successful business decisions
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Knowledge of e-commerce marketplace platforms, fulfillment services, or seller payments and financial ecosystems is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 2 years' experience in data analytics or related field OR 4 years' experience in data analytics or related field

Certificate in business analytics, data mining, or statistical analysis
