Mauldin & Jenkins is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate IT Auditor to join their growing team. This role involves assisting in evaluating IT infrastructure, application controls, and security processes to ensure alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will work alongside senior auditors to identify risks and provide recommendations to strengthen the technology environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in the execution of IT audits, including assessments of IT general controls (ITGCs), application controls, and cybersecurity frameworks

Document and evaluate the design and effectiveness of controls for key systems and processes

Gather and analyze data to identify potential risks, control weaknesses, and instances of non-compliance

Assist in preparing audit workpapers and reports to communicate findings and recommendations to management

Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations with various business and IT stakeholders

Stay current with emerging technologies and potential security threats

Completing relevant certifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Systems, or a related field

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

High level of integrity and a strong understanding of professional ethics

Preferred

Relevant internship or co-op experience in IT audit, information security, or a related field

Holding or actively pursuing certifications such as CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) is a plus
