Responsibilities

Assist with site preparation, inspections, and ensuring that construction activities adhere to safety standards and project plans

Participate in hands-on construction activities, such as concrete pouring, framing, finishing, and various specialized trades

Help maintain accurate project documentation, including blueprints, schedules, and progress reports, ensuring that all project stakeholders are well-informed

Assist in maintaining a safe work environment, promoting adherence to safety protocols and regulations to protect all personnel on the site

Learn to take accurate measurements, track quantities of materials used, and assist in project cost estimation and budget management

Collaborate with general contractors, vendors, and various teams to coordinate schedules, tasks, deliveries, logistics and ensure smooth operations on-site

Learn how to perform quality checks and inspections, ensuring that the work meets specifications and quality standards

Learn to lead and manage, and work alongside teams of skilled tradespeople and laborers, facilitating effective communication and collaboration

Participate in identifying and addressing on-site challenges, helping to find creative solutions to keep the project progressing smoothly

Participate in client meetings and updates, contributing to effective communication and client satisfaction

Engage in continuous learning, training sessions, and mentorship opportunities to enhance your technical skills and industry knowledge

Contribute fresh perspectives and ideas to improve processes and enhance project efficiency

Required

Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

Basic understanding of construction principles, methods, and materials

Proficiency in using construction software and tools

Willingness to learn and apply safety regulations and protocols

Clear and effective verbal and written communication abilities

Ability to interact with diverse team members, contractors, and project stakeholders

Eagerness to learn and utilize creative problem-solving skills to overcome on-site challenges

Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines

A strong desire to learn and gain practical knowledge in the construction field
