Responsibilities

You will explore and build tools to support our product engineers with GenAI-augmented developer experiences, in collaboration with product managers and internal AI community

You will contribute to our internal development platform

Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world

You will report to the Engineering Manager of the DevEx Platforms team

Qualification

GolangGenAI toolsAWSKubernetesPythonDeveloper experiencePrompt engineering

Required

5+ years of professional software engineering experience

2+ years of experience improving developer experience through workflows, documentation, and capabilities of the internal platform

Experience designing and building cloud native applications using Golang

Hands-on experience building software using GenAI tools, like GitHub's Copilot, Cursor or Claude Code

Preferred

3+ years of hands on experience managing and deploying resources in AWS

2+ years of experience building software in python

2+ years of experience managing workloads deployed on Kubernetes

Experience in prompt engineering or building AI-powered tools
