Responsibilities

Transcribes and posts Physicians orders

Maintains Medication Administration Records

Transcribes appropriate information on patient's graphic record

Assists in maintaining PAR Levels of supplies for the Nursing Unit

Maintains an organized work environment

Facilitates communication between staff, families, and/or visitors

Monitors, interprets and records EKG strips

Receives, secures and transports medications as necessary

Assists in procedures/ exams as directed

Obtains necessary supplies, equipment, and/ or personnel as needed

Communicates data by timely documentation and reporting of abnormal or patient status change to RN/LPN

Utilizes interpersonal and therapeutic communication skills when necessary

Participates in the training and orientation process for new staff as appropriate

Demonstrates initiative and flexibility

Participates in process improvement initiatives

Preferred

High School or Graduate Equivalent - GED of General Studies

1 Year Unit Clerk or Customer Service
