As a Caregiver/Medication Technician, you will assist with daily needs, administer medications, and ensure the comfort and safety of residents in an assisted living facility.

Responsibilities
Administer medications to residents in compliance with Title 22 regulations and physician instructions. Monitor residents' medication records and report any errors to the Lead Medication Technician/Administrator
Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting
Ensure residents have timely access to medications by placing and tracking medication orders
Maintain accurate, progressive documentation and regularly communicate with physicians and medical professionals
Schedule and coordinate doctor’s appointments for residents as needed
Work with medical professionals to promote resident engagement, reduce pain, and maintain independence
Ensure a clean and safe environment for both residents and staff
Stay composed and take appropriate action during emergencies
Ensure that residents stay stress-free as much as possible by working with medical professionals in regard to reducing pain while promoting engagement and independence
Align performance with the facility’s Program Design
Complete specialized training for working with these residents
Achieve goals outlined in each resident's Individual Program Plan (IPP)
Maintain detailed progress notes to track accomplishments of IPP objectives
Qualification
Required
Live-Scan Fingerprint Clearance
CPR/First Aide Certificate
Negative TB Test and Health Screening
Must also have previous experience as a caregiver who is familiar with managing 20 plus residents within an 8hr shift
Preferred
High school or equivalent
