Responsibilities

The Mammography Technologist provides excellent patient care by producing and evaluating screening and diagnostic general x-ray and mammography images as ordered by the referring physician
The successful Mammography Technologist is a 'super user' on JR X-Ray and Mammography equipment and demonstrates competency in Mammography examinations and patient care

Qualification

Connecticut State Radiologic LicenseARRT CertificationCPR (BLS) CertificationARRT Mammography certificationRadiology information systemsPatient care skills’s degree in science-related fieldExperience in Bone DensitometryCommunication skills

Required

Connecticut State Radiologic License, required
ARRT Certification, required
CPR (BLS) Certification, required

Preferred

ARRT Mammography certification, preferred. Candidates without their Mammography certification will be expected to obtain Mammography certification within 12 months from date of hire or 6 months from becoming board eligible
Bachelor's degree in science-related field and experience and training in Bone Densitometry, preferred
Experience with radiology information systems, preferred
Must demonstrate excellent communication and patient care skills
