Visitation Monitor - Bronx Family Court - Part Time
Safe Horizon is dedicated to providing safe visitation experiences for children and their non-custodial parents in a supportive environment. The Visitation Monitor will implement a trauma-informed approach, supervise visits, conduct assessments, and prepare reports for court while maintaining accurate records and attending necessary meetings.

Responsibilities
Learn and integrate a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, using an anti-oppressive lens, into your work with clients
Under the supervision of the Supervising Social Worker, monitor visits between non-custodial parents and their children
As needed, conduct intake interviews and assess families for participation in the Supervised Visitation Program
Assist in the preparation of reports for the court
Keep session notes, attendance records, and statistics
Attend internal and external meetings, trainings and workshops
Various other duties to be determined by supervisor
Qualification
Required
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, be assertive and well organized
BS/BA Degree in a Social Services related field or equivalent relevant experience
Preferred
Knowledge of the Family Court and criminal justice system is preferred
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence and other forms of victimization
Experience working with survivors of domestic violence
