Responsibilities

Performs MRI exams and procedures for NICU, CCU, ED and other hospital departments as requested by medical staff

Assists the Radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures

Performs ancillary duties as required to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures

Completes documentation, in designated area, of all information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams

Retrieves and files exam jackets, written orders, and related health information to ensure the timely performance and reporting of MRI exams and procedures

Participates in the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of hospital quality indicators as described in the strategic plan

Works independently in a highly complex, acute care inpatient setting

Required

Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Certified MRI Technician certification

American Heart Association BLS within 60 days of hire

Two (2) years of MRI previous experience in a hospital setting

Demonstrates competencies to perform emergency/trauma MRI procedures that require anesthesia and other procedural MRI exams for all populations including Neonates, Pediatrics, and adults
