UNIQLO is preparing to open its newest location in Chicago and is seeking Alterations Specialists to join their grand opening team. The Alterations Specialist will be responsible for altering pants to meet custom specifications using their knowledge of fabrics and sewing techniques.

Responsibilities

Sew hem of pants with industrial sewing machine
Trim excess threads using scissors
Measure, cut and sew hems following seams, edges, or markings on pants
Alter pants hemlines to fit individual customers
Working knowledge of sewing machines such as lock stitch, blind stitch, and serge machines

Qualification

Required

High School Diploma or GED
At least six (6) months prior sewing/ fitting experience in an alterations or tailoring department
Maintain specified productivity guidelines
Strong communication skills, fluency in English mandatory
Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including evenings and weekends
Average 32 or more hours per week based on business seasonality for Full-Time
Open availability on weekends (religious exemptions will be considered) for Full-Time
Restrictions on availability limited to two days per week for Full-Time
Minimum of 12 hours availability per week for Full-Time and Part-Time
