Retail Receiving Support Associate, Washington Square - Part Time

Responsibilities
Deliver customer service Excellence: Greet customers warmly, actively listen to their needs, and provide thoughtful assistance. Take the time to understand their concerns and resolve issues promptly, ensuring a seamless and positive shopping experience
Receiving and Unloading: Receive and unload merchandise from delivery trucks; unpack merchandise from vendor boxes; and remove merchandise from plastic bags and packaging
Sorting and Organizing: Sort and organize merchandise based on its type, size, or category. Ensure that items are properly labeled, tagged, or marked for easy identification and retrieval. Keep the receiving area clean and organized
Inventory Control: Apply Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags and conduct inventory scans with precision. Stay ahead of potential challenges by maintaining operational excellence and minimizing shortages
Processing and Signing: Complete all processing and receiving activities in accordance with productivity standards, timelines, and asset protection inventory control and compliance procedures
Stockroom Management: Transfer merchandise from the receiving area to the stockroom or sales floor and assist the Merchandise Team in the movement of fixtures and merchandise for new product placement, season changes, and clearance set
Order Fulfillment & Customer Pick-up: Select merchandise from the selling floor and apply packing policies & techniques to ensure every customer receives their package in good condition; process shippable returns and abandoned in store pickup orders. Retrieve orders from our back-of-house storage and deliver them curbside to the customer
Team Collaboration: Work with other team members to achieve department goals and maintain a positive work environment. Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors, sharing feedback, ideas, and concerns
Qualification
Required
No Education or Experience Required
Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
Ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers
Resourceful and eager to start a new venture and can adapt to changing priorities; you can work on your own but are great with team dynamics
Self-starter; able to adapt quickly to changing customer expectations and needs
Must be able to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
Must be able to read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English
This position requires lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands
Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 50lbs., stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, stooping and color vision
Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
