Imaging Technologist I, Multi-Modal - League City Campus (CT/X-Ray; up to 19 hrs per week)

UTMB Health is a leading healthcare provider, and they are seeking a Multi-modality Technologist I to provide quality imaging and patient care within two medical imaging modalities. The role involves performing imaging procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist and ensuring patient comprehension and care during the process.

Responsibilities

Provides quality imaging and patient care within two medical imaging modalities
Performs imaging procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients in a clinic or hospital setting as requested by the ordering physician or other licensed provider
Explains the procedure to the patient and ensures they are competent in the procedure being performed
Provides care to the patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist
Meets all of the qualifications and requirements for the modalities in which they are certified and works a minimum of 40% of the time in the second modality
May require flex shifts and support at different UTMB Campuses

ARRT CertificationARDMS CertificationMedical Radiologic Technologist RegistrationComputed Tomography (CT)BLS Certification

Required

High School Diploma or GED
Six months Experience in the Primary Imaging Modality
Certification from one of the following credentialing organizations: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - (ARRT)(R), American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RVT-VT), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
Registration as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT-GC) through the Texas Medical Board, if applicable
Registry in a second modality must be completed within 18 months of hire or transfer date
American Heart Association BLS

Preferred

Associate's Degree - Strongly Preferred
Three - six months experience in the Secondary Imaging Modality
Experience and/or Registry in Computed Tomography (CT)
