Responsibilities
Assist in designing roadway projects, including coordination with traffic engineering, bridge design, planning, and environmental teams
Develop engineering plans, reports, and specifications for various transportation projects
Support geometric design, utilities coordination, drainage systems, erosion control, signage, and right-of-way plans
Contribute to preliminary and final engineering drawings and cost estimates
Collaborate with internal teams and interface with clients, agencies, and stakeholders
Help solve real-world design and coordination challenges typical of transportation infrastructure development
Participate in project observation, bidding coordination, or public-sector permitting processes if applicable
Qualification
Required
Be currently enrolled in a full-time academic program at an accredited college or university
Maintain a good academic standing
Pursue a field of study that is consistent with Gresham Smith needs for intern assignments
