Responsibilities
Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures
Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees
Perform all preventive maintenance on systems and maintains applicable log books
Conduct walk-through inspections; changes belts, filters, adjusts volume dampers, checks gauges, coils, drain lines, bleeds gas lines, resets compressors, check unit sensors, relocates ductwork and troubleshoots to locate sources and cause of malfunction
Assist with estimating parts, supplies, equipment and labor hours needed to complete assigned repairs and monitors computer for malfunctions
Maintain quality of air, air flow and temperature at on and off-site facilities; adjusts valves to regulate temperature of lubrication oil and flow of water through system
Record gauge readings, repairs completed and time lost due to inoperative equipment. Maintain technical logs and records all relevant data as appropriate
Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility
Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations
Ensure prompt and discrete notification to senior management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts and/or internal ethics violations
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required
Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable experience
Must be able to read, understand and interpret schematics, plans, diagrams and drawings
Must maintain current state HVAC license and possess basic mechanical aptitude
Knowledge of the products, materials, equipment and tools related to the industry
Experience evaluating and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems
Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals
Must present an image of excitement and enthusiasm, while being able to project a professional appearance and demeanor
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
Display strong work ethic and team work
High School diploma or equivalent required
Technical certificate required
Three (3) to five (5) years experience with commercial industrial equipment or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Current state HVAC license/certificate required
