Technical Note Taker/Documentation Specialist

Responsibilities

Attend project and team meetings to capture detailed notes, including decisions, action items, and next steps
Maintain and update project logs, including the Change Control Log and Decision Log
Document project details such as timelines, deliverables, risks, and dependencies
Update tracking documents and tools as directed by project managers or team leads
Ensure clarity, consistency, and accessibility across all project documentation
Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and technical staff to verify meeting content and ensure accuracy
Follow established documentation standards and naming conventions

Required

Bachelor's degree required
Proven experience in notetaking, meeting minutes, or project documentation (technical or project management environment preferred)
Strong listening, comprehension, and written communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to extract key points quickly from both technical and non-technical discussions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Familiarity with project management tools such as SharePoint, Confluence, Jira, or Smartsheet is a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Interest in learning project processes, terminology, and workflows
Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all organizational and technical levels
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team environment
