2+ years expApt is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to support the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of enterprise IT systems. The role involves managing technology solutions, enhancing system reliability, and collaborating with IT teams, vendors, and users to ensure scalable and secure technology environments.

Responsibilities
Maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding all IT systems and information
Adhere to all safety, health, and security policies and procedures
Coordinate with internal IT teams, external vendors, and key stakeholders
Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple teams and projects effectively
Develop a thorough understanding of current IT infrastructure and solutions
Design and deploy new or enhanced IT systems and infrastructure
Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements
Configure and maintain technology components
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
Implement and sustain security measures to protect sensitive data and systems
Conduct regular system reviews and audits
Maintain detailed documentation of systems and configurations
Assist in developing and reporting on return on investment (ROI) and key performance indicators (KPIs) for systems
Prepare reports on system performance and security incidents
Collaborate with IT personnel to integrate systems effectively
Provide technical support and training to staff as needed
Develop and test disaster recovery plans and procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or in a similar role
Proficiency with operating systems (Windows, Linux, UNIX) and virtualization technologies
Strong knowledge of networking protocols and tools
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred
Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus
Experience working with Department of Defense (DoD) contractors is preferred
