Responsibilities

Anticipates, plans for and responds to the needs of the surgeon and other members of the team by constantly monitoring the sterile field

Demonstrates proper handling of instruments and equipment

Identifies potential intraoperative complications and responds appropriately to identified needs

Assists team in maintaining adequate inventory of equipment, supplies and instruments

Utilizes performance improvement principles to assess and improve quality of patient care

Identifies needs and sets goals for own personal growth and development. Meets all system and departmental educational requirements

Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency environmental, employee or patient safety standards relevant to job performance

Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic’s mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance
