Responsibilities
The Senior production planner, working with the Customer, will be responsible for the order administration process from Order Receipt through to Order Acceptance, Shipment, and Invoicing
The Senior production planner will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective lines of communication with the Customer
The Senior production planner will be responsible for monitoring EDI messages, as the quality of the Desadvice message has a direct impact on A/R
The Senior production planner will be responsible for the management of customer documents that are required by PCE, such as cancellation requests, pro forma invoices, etc
The Senior production planner will be responsible for the administration of all Backlog, Cancellations, and Reschedules
The Senior production planner will be responsible for providing a daily shipping plan and a 3-day outlook based on customer-requested deadlines
The Senior production planner will be responsible for cooperation with other departments that will be required to achieve the operational objectives of the Group
The Senior production planner will be responsible for the following measurements: WEEKLY: Order book accuracy, Backlog, Delivery performance, Customer complaint closure; MONTHLY: Customer-specific metrics
Qualification
Required
The Senior production planner will have a further education qualification such as a Degree in a relevant Discipline, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized authority
The Senior production planner will have at least two years of experience in a Commercial role, preferably within a high-volume, manufacturing environment
