Responsibilities
Apply best practices in curriculum design and delivery to department staff and stakeholders in alignment with industry and company requirements
Develop clear and measurable learning criteria for different levels of underwriting knowledge and technical expertise
Keep current on regulatory rules, product offerings, and technology advances. Share insights through group and individual training
Evaluate the effectiveness of training/identify gaps and collaborate with management on ways to enhance the learning experience
Assess team needs to identify and create opportunities for career development and employee engagement
Participate in cross-functional projects/programs requiring collaboration with Underwriting
Qualification
Required
Six years of underwriting experience in the insurance/financial services industry
Skilled in underwriting training or project/process management in a corporate environment
Outstanding written and oral communication and presentation skills
Ability to communicate technical information in a learning environment
Strong documentation and writing/editing skills
Creative thinker and collaborator to design engaging learning and development programs
Proficiency using MS Office
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in business or finance
FLMI, FALU, or CLU certification
