Radiology Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab
Advocate Health Care is seeking a Radiology Technologist for their Cardiac Cath Lab. The role involves providing professional nursing care to cardiovascular patients, assisting physicians during procedures, and maintaining quality control in the lab.

Responsibilities
Maintain complete documentation of cardiovascular procedures
Participate in in-services, continuing education, and workshops to remain abreast of new procedures and current technologies
Accountable for the maintenance of quality control in all areas of the lab
Provide a secure and safe environment for patients and staff maintaining constant awareness of safety hazards
Assistance with new staff orientation within the department
Act as a role model within the department serving as a resource person for all clinical activities
Assisting in the development of new operating procedures
Qualification
Required
Typically requires 2 years cardiac cath lab experience
AAS in RTR, or RTN license
Minimum of 12 CEU hours per year
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to anticipate patient and unit needs
Ability to teach procedures to the staff
Current License in the state of IL as a RTR, RTN, RCVT, or Paramedic (EMT-P)
ACLS, IABP, RCIS within two years of employment
Ability to function in a high stress environment
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
Ability to respond to off hour call-ins within thirty minutes of the pager going off
Preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in PTCA, EPS
Minimum of 5 years experience as RTR or RTN
Prior experience with various age groups
