They are seeking an Outdoor Pursuits Associate to provide exceptional service and support for outdoor activities at their beach club, ensuring safety and enhancing the member experience.

Responsibilities
Assist with daily set-up and breakdown of daily beach activities
Greet and acknowledge guests upon arrival at the beach
Ensure safety of members, guests, prospects and team members during all activities. Provide safety information about beach area and ocean
Daily report of activities experienced, daily inventory reports of all amenity equipment, including maintenance logs
Provide exceptional service and communication at all times with members and guests, including delivery of food items, iced water and towels
Provide members and guests with knowledge of Maui and its history
Expert knowledge of all equipment related to recreational activities and amenities and ability to demonstrate or train members on safe and effective usage
Offer use of equipment for the beach which includes snorkels, stand up paddles, etc
Escort members on hiking, surfing, canoe paddling and kayak excursions
Create and innovate amenities and experiences offered to share with Director of Outdoor Pursuits for execution
Maintain a clean and safe beach area for members, guests and team members
Maintain up to date inventory of department equipment as well as loss prevention efforts
Maintain requirements to have an effective AED, First Aid, and CPR program
Coordinate with or assist other departments as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Previous experience in the guest service industry
CPR certification is a positive
Experience in hospitality is preferred but not required
Ability to work flexible hours and on the weekends
Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members
Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds
