COMPRESSION MOLD TECH I
King Plastic Corporation is seeking a Compression Mold Tech I to operate and maintain production machinery in a manufacturing environment. The role involves conducting product inspections, troubleshooting operational issues, maintaining production records, and adhering to safety procedures while supporting team efforts to meet production goals.

Responsibilities
Operate Machinery: Set up, operate, clean, and monitor production machines and equipment according to standard operating procedures
Inspect Products: Conduct regular inspections of products and materials to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
Troubleshoot Issues: Identify and resolve operational issues and report major problems to the supervisor
Maintain Records: Accurately record production data, including quantities produced, downtime, and any issues encountered. Complete required documentation related to production runs, including production logs, inspection reports, and incident/accident reports
Adhere to Safety Procedures: Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards, adhering to good housekeeping practices
Clean and Maintain Equipment: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance and longevity
Support Team: Assist with the training of new staff and collaborate with team members to meet production goals. Build positive relationships with Company staff members; share information with appropriate parties; willingly cooperate with others and carries him/herself in an appropriate manner maintaining courteous and effective interactions and communication with other employees
Handle Materials: Properly handle and store raw materials and finished products, ensuring they are organized and correctly labeled
Adheres to all policies and procedures
Organize, prioritize and complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner
Exercise effective problem solving techniques, engage in effective conflict resolution, and make timely decisions based upon logical conclusions of factual information
Continues personal competency through training/ education, etc
Report to work at the scheduled time, work as scheduled and is seldom absent from work
Qualification
Required
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production machinery
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
Basic math skills for measuring and recording production data
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
Ability to develop and implement complex procedures from general instructions
Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion
High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
Willingness and ability to work a 12 hour shift schedule with evening/weekend work
Position requires full shifts in an environment with extreme temperatures (>100°F in summer months)
Position requires operating a power fork truck
