Responsibilities
Support Managed Care Contracting for contract modeling and revenue impact analysis in support of negotiations
Help identify underpayments and track profitability within managed care contracts
Prepare analyses related to the financial impact of Medicare and Medi-Cal changes in reimbursement
Support the annual build of the Hoag operating budget, touching across multiple entities with regards to volume and revenue projection
Analyze and present monthly performance to executive leadership as it relates to volume, revenue, payor mix and case mix
Perform the month end contractual reserve calculation for Accounting
Support Accounting’s management team for cost report preparation, OSHPD reporting, Bond/Rating Agency reporting, as well as year-end and interim audit
Provide support for all levels of leadership with requested ad-hoc revenue impact analysis related to items such as payer mix, acuity, reimbursement, and volume
Own and maintain specific recurring reporting related to volume and revenue performance
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Strong analytical experience in a healthcare environment with emphasis in managed care and government reimbursement
Ability to act as a lead analyst on projects
Experience in Managed Care Contracting for contract modeling and revenue impact analysis
Ability to identify underpayments and track profitability within managed care contracts
Experience in preparing analyses related to the financial impact of Medicare and Medi-Cal changes in reimbursement
Ability to support the annual build of the operating budget across multiple entities
Experience in analyzing and presenting monthly performance to executive leadership
Ability to perform month end contractual reserve calculation for Accounting
Experience in supporting cost report preparation, OSHPD reporting, Bond/Rating Agency reporting, and year-end and interim audit
Ability to provide support for all levels of leadership with ad-hoc revenue impact analysis
Ability to own and maintain specific recurring reporting related to volume and revenue performance
