Responsibilities
Field testing and inspections of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and masonry mortar/grout for compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and/or project specifications
Review of blueprints in preparation of field observations on construction sites
Prepare detailed and accurate reports of findings and communicate results to project managers and clients
Daily use of Metafield for recording of testing results
Communication of field testing results with Construction Services staff, general contractors, and clients
Travel to job sites across the Miami-Fort Lauderdale metropolitan area
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience in the Construction Materials Testing industry
ACI Concrete Field Testing Certification (Level 1) is required
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (Company will provide Personal Protective Equipment and inclement weather gear, as appropriate)
Ability to work and maneuver equipment (such as a loaded wheelbarrow) on uneven ground and around active construction sites
Willingness to travel out-of-town (typically overnight) for short duration assignments
Preferred
Certifications from the following entities are highly desirable: American Concrete Institute (ACI), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), International Code Council (ICC), NICET, or Post-tensioning Institute (PTI)
