Binnies, part of the RSK Group, is looking for Lead Civil Engineers to work on Non-Infra UK Water Engineering projects. The role involves developing advanced engineering techniques, providing guidance on design standards, and mentoring junior staff while coordinating complex projects.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, systems and applicable engineering codes and standards

Preparing calculations and develop civil engineering deliverables (models, drawings and reports) whilst adhering to project budgets, schedules and quality systems

Providing guidance to others and support continuous improvement

Coordinate with internal and external team members on complex projects

Prepare a variety of complex civil engineering deliverables for large or multiple projects

Develop recommendations for materials and construction techniques

Develop specifications for the identification, collection and management of data for engineering work

Serve as a technical specialist and use knowledge and skill set to provide advice and guidance to project teams

Mentor and develop junior staff

Be fully conversant and comply with all aspects of health & safety duties of Designers

Required

Civil Engineering Design and/or Hydraulics/Structural background

Experience in design and build

Knowledge & Experience in the design and checking of non-infrastructure water/wastewater treatment works design

Ability to lead and manage a team of civil engineers and associated specialists (structural, geotechnical and hydraulics) and to interface with other disciplines in the production of engineering deliverables
