Clinical Psychologist - Autism Spectrum Disorder Service
NYU Langone Health is seeking a Clinical Psychologist for their Autism Spectrum Disorder Service at the Child Study Center. The role focuses on providing evaluations and evidence-based psychotherapeutic treatments for children, adolescents, and their families, requiring proficiency in various therapeutic modalities and diagnostic evaluations.

Responsibilities
Providing evidence–based psychotherapeutic treatments to children, adolescents and their families in individual, parent training, family, and group modalities
Conducting developmental evaluations and autism evaluations using semi-structured psychiatric interviews, cognitive and developmental assessments, language assessments, adaptive assessments, and ASD diagnostic tools. Feedback sessions and writing comprehensive reports that are completed in a timely manner
Providing consultation to schools and other community institutions
Contributing and/or leading collaborations focused on improving care for children with ADHD and disruptive behavior disorders
Supervising and teaching of trainees across disciplines
Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and contribute to individualized treatment planning
Participate in continuing education such as weekly Case Conference and Grand Rounds
Participate in 2-3 direct activities that support our department’s mission to disseminate evidence-based information, including providing Child Study Center parent workshops, writing for the website, speaking on DoctorRadio and/or equivalent annually
Participate in research activities when appropriate
Adhering to the code of ethics of your professional organization and the medical center
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology from an APA or CPA accredited institution
Completion of APA or CPA accredited pre-doctoral internship
Licensed or license eligible in the State of New York
Proficiency in behavioral and cognitive-behavioral therapy, parent management training, social skills support, and diagnostic evaluation of autism and related disorders
Willingness to conduct workshops for parents, school personnel, and others in the community
Availability for late afternoon and evening clinical appointments
Preferred
Advanced training and/or certification in an evidence-based treatment for ASD or co-occurring disorders (e.g. Early Start Denver Model, Facing Your Fears, PEERS®, JASPER, RUBI, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Unstuck and On Target, feeding evaluation and treatment)
Proficiency on the ADOS-2 and ADI-R
