Responsibilities

Research, collect, and review data for transportation-related projects
Complete technical assignments that include planning, modeling, calculations, design, detailed cost estimates, specifications, and permitting
Assist team in preparation of plan details and outlines and perform calculations for a specific segment of a project
Utilize specialized computer software to assist with the analysis, design, and plan production for new transportation systems or parts of systems, such as highways, streets, and roadways
Assist in creation and review of design drawings within defined limits
Prepare technical reports or sections of larger reports
Assist with plan alterations and modifications of existing streets, highways, or freeways to improve traffic flow

Required

A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
Approximately 2 to 5 years of engineering experience in transportation design
Familiarity with Microstation and OpenRoads Designer
Proficient in MS Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

Preferred

Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is preferred
