They are seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to support various commercial, industrial, energy, and community development projects, serving as a technical expert and mentor while ensuring high-quality deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Lead and support the design and preparation of complex civil engineering projects, including commercial, industrial, energy, and community developments
Prepare and review engineering calculations, design packages, and construction documents
Develop feasibility studies, due diligence reports, zoning studies, cost estimates, and detailed design plans
Provide technical oversight for stormwater modeling, drainage design, earthwork modeling, utility routing, and pavement design
Ensure quality control for detention systems, open/closed drainage, BMPs, and site grading
Manage project permitting and agency coordination with local, state, and federal entities
Coordinate with internal MSG teams including Surveying, Geotechnical, Environmental, Structural, Traffic, Transportation, and Construction Services
Mentor and support junior engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and plan reviews
Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure schedules, budgets, and technical standards are met
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
PE license required (or demonstrated ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
Extensive experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Strong background in detailed plan preparation and site development design, including: Stormwater modeling (detention, open/closed systems, BMPs), Utility routing (gas, water, electric, etc.), Earthwork modeling and calculation verification, Pavement design and grading
Experience with project permitting and agency approvals
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
