Responsibilities
The Financial Assistance Representative willingly and effectively assists patients with all questions or issues related to the revenue cycle using exceptional interpersonal and decision-making skills
Calls unrelated to the revenue cycle will be properly handled to ensure patients’ questions are resolved to their satisfaction
Uses Microsoft Word and Excel along with Meditech to manage accounts
Communicates in a compassionate and professional manner from a strong revenue cycle knowledge base
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or the equivalent
Typing 50 wpm is required
Exceptional customer service skills required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required
Computer and clerical skills required
Must have strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills
Must have a demonstrated ability to address difficult situations and resolve conflict with ease, poise, and tact
Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
A Certified Patient Accounts Technician certificate is preferred
Admissions or billing background in a hospital or other healthcare setting is preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
