They are seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Intern to perform technical, distributive, and administrative duties under the supervision of a pharmacist, with responsibilities increasing as the intern progresses.

Responsibilities
Following established policies and procedures, Pharmacy Intern 1 performs technical, distributive, and administrative duties
This individual may receive, sort, compound, processes and prepares medication orders under the supervision of a pharmacist
As the intern progresses, and demonstrates an increase in ability, the preceptor will grant increased responsibility
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent is required
Accepted to a doctor of pharmacy program at a degree granting institution or enrolled in their first year of a doctor of pharmacy program at a degree granting institution
Must complete a competency checklist within three months of completing orientation and training sessions
Ability to communicate effectively with other health care professionals and patients
Ability to prioritize responsibilities in order to optimize patient care and minimize adverse outcomes
Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire
Staff hired into this role prior to 3/31/23 must have applied for Wisconsin registration by 3/31/23 and have until 3/31/24 to obtain registration
