Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Ultrasound Supervisor, is responsible for the day-to-day operation of all ultrasound activities at Cabell Huntington Hospital
Ultrasound Technologists ensure the quality of services rendered is acceptable
Confirms orders, documents, medical necessity, and pre-authorization on all ultrasound orders
Provides care to patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders
Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic procedures as directed
Qualification
Required
Full-time availability
Experience in ultrasound technology
Ability to operate ultrasound equipment
Knowledge of medical necessity and pre-authorization processes
Ability to provide patient care for diagnosis and treatment
Ability to confirm orders and document ultrasound activities
