Responsibilities

Establish and ensure the safety of intramural participants by officiating different organized sports and events associated with recreation programs
Enforce all wellness center policies and procedures
Exhibit excellent customer service skills and a willingness to go out of their way for others
Set up events
Communicate with participants and vendors on a regular basis
Organize and clean equipment
Other duties as assigned

Ability to stand and walk regularly for long periods of time
Ability to use hands regularly
Ability to reach with hands and arms frequently
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl regularly
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds regularly
Ability to lift, push, or pull over 10 pounds occasionally
Occasionally, as directed by supervisor, lifting up to 50 lbs
Constant running, jogging, and walking
Repetitive movement of hands and fingers – typing and/or writing
Frequent standing, and/or sitting
Occasional walking, stooping, kneeling or crouching
Reach with hands and arms
Visually identify, observe and assess
Ability to communicate with supervisor/students/colleagues

Preferred

Previous general knowledge of sports
Previous participation in a team or individual sport
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Detail oriented
