Responsibilities
Function independently as a staff END Technician. Maintain all aspects of medical record management, keeps current in treatment techniques and is a clinical resource to staff. Perform standard and complex EMG/NCS studies, EEG studies, and autonomic studies. Obtain recordings and delivers results to physician for interpretation. Report critical test results to interpreting physician and documents all communications according to facility policy and procedure
Patient care coordination to include scheduling, patient navigation, and serve as a point of contact for diagnostic testing within the clinic. Summarize the patient’s neurologic status and clinical history from the chart, patient, or other knowledgeable persons. Explain the recording procedures to the patient and any family members present
Maintain equipment and inventory of supplies. Reorder as necessary. Detect instrument malfunction, make minor maintenance adjustments, or report need for major repairs to Clinical Engineering

Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Completion of NCS training program or Associates/Bachelors in related
Completion of electroneurodiagnostic training program or Associates/Bachelors in related
Preferred
Other Board Certification in NCS by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine
6 months related experience
EMG/NCS Certificate
