Interventional Radiology Technologist
Indiana University Health is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a full-time position at North Hospital. The role involves assisting radiologists in interventional procedures, adhering to safety protocols, and effectively collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities
Assists radiologist/interventionalist in interventional procedures including acting as scrub tech where appropriate
Adheres to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
Follows radiation safety protocols and is aware of patient dose alert levels and escalation procedure
Understands and has knowledge of complex procedures
Demonstrates ability to determine appropriate supplies for procedure and sets up sterile field
Possesses advanced knowledge of cross sectional and vascular anatomy
Communicates and work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team (critical care, ED, Trauma, IP, OP, Nursing, Oncology, Transplant, GI, Neurosurgery, etc)
Documents necessary information in EMR
Qualification
Required
0-3 years of relevant experience
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required
Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning
Knowledge of sterile technique and supplies used during interventional exams
Active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist
Preferred
Experience as a radiologic technologist
