Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive asset strategies, including leasing plans, capital programs, and returns projections
Collaborate with Portfolio Management to evaluate leasing scenarios, hold/sell decisions, and incremental capital investment opportunities
Prepare and drive implementation of annual business plans that maximize risk-adjusted returns
Partner with the internal leasing team to drive leasing activity, ensure deal quality and achieve business plan goals
Analyze prospective term sheet sheets and provide guidance to the leasing team on optimized deal structures
Cultivate relationships with existing tenants and key market stakeholders to drive value and leasing activity
Manage third-party property management on daily operational responsibilities and decisions
Collaborate with leasing, design and construction teams on discretionary capital project programming and feasibility analysis
Coordinate with design and construction teams to achieve schedule and budget targets
Lead quarterly budgeting and reforecasting of capital projects within your portfolio
Support the SVP in delivering business plans, quarterly reports, leasing updates and appraisal reviews to partners and senior management
Interface with Brookfield’s multifamily and hotel teams to align and report on mixed-use projects
Partner with the FP&A team on cash management, contributions/distribution projections and quarterly IFRS valuations
Coordinate with Portfolio Management on analysis, diligence and transaction support for financings and dispositions
Support appraisal processes and reviews on a quarterly basis
Manage and mentor two Analysts, providing day-to-day direction, feedback and skill set development
Review Analyst work to ensure accuracy
Drive cross-functional coordination across internal portfolio management, investments, FP&A, operations, design, construction and development departments to ensure strategic alignment and seamless execution

Required

5+ years' experience in commercial real estate, preferably in asset management or investments
Strong financial acumen with advanced modeling proficiency in Argus and Excel
Highly collaborative with a track record of driving results across large, matrixed teams
Exceptional organizational and project management skills with an ability to manage competing priorities
Close attention to detail and strong analytical review capabilities
Ability to develop and deliver concise presentations that clearly articulate asset strategy, performance, and risk factors
Problem solver capable of analyzing complex data across an array of disciplines and producing actionable recommendations
