Assistant Professor (N-T Trk Clin), Surgery-Pediatric

The University of Texas Medical Branch is seeking an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Pediatric Surgery. This role involves providing faculty support for teaching, research, and patient care, including direct patient care and participation in educational activities for medical students and residents.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care including consultative services, outpatient and inpatient services, and perioperative care
Participate in all teaching activities of the division including conferences and lectures, bedside rounds, and house staff supervision
Advance clinical knowledge through academic and scholarly efforts
Have administrative responsibilities including advising and evaluating residents and students, providing medical direction for Hospital services, and participating in committee memberships at the departmental and Health System level

Pediatric SurgeryBoard CertifiedMedical LicenseTeaching ExperiencePatient CareResearch SkillsAdministrative Skills

Required

Graduate of an approved medical school
Completed an approved residency training and fellowship program
Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Pediatric Surgery
Texas Medical license without restrictions
